About Your Mentors

Dr. Paul Guillory, PhD

Dr. Guillory is a Certified EFT Trainer, Supervisor, and Therapist with a specialty in culturally responsive therapy and supervision. He brings decades of experience in attachment theory, supervision, and training to the mentorship space.

Liliana Baylon, LMFT-S, RPT-S

Liliana Baylon is a bilingual and bicultural therapist, AAMFT-approved supervisor, and Certified EFT Supervisor. She has extensive experience training therapists in integrating trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approaches within the EFT model. She brings warmth, clarity, and compassion to supervision.

What the Mentorship Group Includes

The EFT Supervision Mentorship Group provides the 10 hours of mentorship required by ICEEFT and includes:

  • Live small group meetings co-facilitated by two Certified EFT Supervisors

  • Role plays, video discussions, and feedback loops to enhance supervision skills

  • Support with ICEEFT application materials, including guidance on video submissions and your written statement

  • Focus on therapist development, supervisory presence, and cultural humility

  • Discussion of common supervision challenges like therapist resistance, self-of-therapist issues, and case conceptualization

Mentorship sessions are interactive and paced to your development. Whether you’re newer to supervision or refining your skills, you’ll receive support grounded in the EFT model.


Path to ICEEFT Supervisor Certification

To become a Certified EFT Supervisor through ICEEFT, you’ll need to complete the following:

  • Be a Certified EFCT Therapist for at least 6 months

  • Have at least 4 years of experience working with couples

  • Complete a 6.25-hour Fundamentals of EFT course (required for applicants after June 1, 2024)

  • Receive 10 hours of mentorship from two ICEEFT-certified Supervisors or Trainers

  • Complete a supervision course in counseling or psychotherapy

  • Supervise at least three trainee EFT Therapists

  • Submit a detailed application package to ICEEFT, including:

    • A written summary of your supervision experience (approx. 1000 words)

    • Two 30-minute video samples of your supervision

    • Two reference letters from your mentors

    • Certificate of completion for your supervision course

Dr. Guillory and Ms. Baylon will guide you step-by-step through these requirements, helping you prepare your materials with confidence.
