This in-depth Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) supervision group is designed to enhance your knowledge and skills and prepare you for EFT certification. We believe in a collaborative learning environment where we can collectively explore the core concepts of EFT with humility and clarity.

- Integrating Cultural Considerations: We will explore how to integrate cultural considerations into your EFT practice, recognizing the diverse experiences and needs of clients from different backgrounds.
- Recorded Reviews & Facilitated Discussions: Benefit from recorded case reviews and facilitated discussions to refine your EFT interventions and deepen your understanding of the therapeutic process.

PAUL GUILLORY, PhD, ICEEFT Certified Trainer & Supervisor
Dr. Paul T. Guillory is a psychologist, trainer, and educator with over 30 years of experience specializing in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the integration of Attachment Theory, Multicultural Realities and its impacts in psychotherapy. He is the author of Emotionally Focused Therapy with African American Couples: Love Heals (Routledge, 2021) and an Associate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where he teaches and conducts research on EFT.
As a certified EFT trainer, supervisor, and therapist, Dr. Guillory leads trainings worldwide, with a focus on equipping clinicians to serve diverse communities. He is known for his transformative workshops, including “Deep Roots: Attachment & Culture” and “Beyond Cultural Humility.”
He has served as a consultant for the Oakland Raiders, Sacramento Kings, and the National Basketball Players Association. He is also the former chairperson of the Northern California Community of Emotionally Focused Therapy, where he advanced initiatives to increase cultural diversity.
His practice integrates science and cultural sensitivity to foster healing and connection.

MARY HINSON, PhD, EFT Supervisor-In-Training
Dr. Mary Hinson, LCMHCS has counseling experience that exceeds 17 years of individual, group, family counseling and certified in custody mediation. Populations served include early adolescence through adulthood in a variety of therapeutic settings, to include private practice, community settings, military installations, governmental sectors, and intensive in-home programs.
Her credentials include Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Certified Custody Mediator. She earned a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell University. Mary is an Emotionally Focused Therapy Supervision in Training and serves as chair of the professional development committee for the Carolina Center for EFT.
